Highlights LDV Maxus Van

System Overview

The Trim & Final system comprises of two tow line floor conveyors, an EMS monorail system and a final line twin slat conveyor. The system is used to transport the LDV MAXUS van bodies throughout the trim process. The van arrives as a painted body at Tow Line Conveyor A and is driven off at the end of the process twin slat conveyor.

The system control is split in to three main areas.

  • Area 1 Control Panel CP0101 Tow Conveyor A
  • Area 2 Control Panel CP0102 Tow Conveyor B and the EMS monorail system.
  • Area 3 Control Panel CP0103 Final Conveyor

Each of the three control panels have an Allen Bradley SLC5/5 PLC controller which are interconnected via an Ethernet network which also incorporates a Scada system for monitoring and reports.

EMS Trolley Control

The EMS trolley control panels are eight identical panels. These control panels house an Allen Bradley Micrologix PLC which controls all trolley movements via signals from the Monorail PLC.
