Highlights

Mirror Trinity Print at Watford required the control system for their four high bay cranes to be refurbished. The existing system was controlled with Sat controllers and infra-red communication.

The project specification was to replace the onboard SATT Controllers for Allen Bradley SLC5/05 PLC's& Panel View 700+ HMI's.

The infra-red communication was replaced with Cisco wireless access points back to a central BCC PLC.

The existing bus-bar was replaced with a 7 bar system that gave increased safety on aisle entry/exit.

Each crane services 2800 locations, 27 columns by 13 rows either side,
handling 1500Kg paper reels and communicates to the BCC via wireless ethernet, which is connected to the plant WCS system via a 3rd party PC system.
