Baggage Orientation Device for Stansted Airport

BAA selects the MacDonald Humfrey (Automation) Ltd 'Baggage Orientation Device' for Stansted Airport.

Following on from a detailed evaluation of the market place, BAA have selected the MacDonald Humfrey (Automation) Ltd. 'Baggage Orientation Device' (BOD) for the new Stansted Airport baggage handling X-ray screening extension project.

The 'BOD' unit will be applied as a baggage orientation device with its CTX5500 communication interface module to allow full and seamless interfacing between the baggage handling system and the G.E. CTX5500 X-ray machines.

The four off 'BOD' units will be supplied to the BAA project framework contractor ' Logan Teleflex' for installation and implementation.

The selection of MacDonald Humfrey (Automation) Ltd. 'BOD' units follows on from the successful implementation of the BOD units at Manchester Airport, Cyprus Airports (Larnaca and Pathos) and Otopeni Airport in Bucharest.
