Gatwick Airport selects the Mach-Secure range of Products for their new Outbound Security Complex.
Gatwick Airport following on from a rigorous evaluation procedure against International competition has selected the major elements of the Mach-Secure product range.
The products selected include the Mach-SmartLane system, Mach-SmartView System, the latest product within the Mach-Secure range which is the Mach-SmartAccess Automated Boarding pass gates and the SEMS (Security Efficiency Management System) solution.
The Gatwick solution for their outbound security facility is the largest single Mach-Secure product installation for a single terminal.
The new outbound security facility consists of 20 Mach-SmartLane systems incorporating Mach-SmartView, 20 Mach-SmartAccess (Automated boarding pass gates), 6 Manual entry SmartAccess gates and 7 Mach-SmartAccess reconciliation stations.
The Gatwick Airport solution for the Mach-SmartAccess Automated Boarding Pass gates incorporates the latest Biometric technology.
The Mach-SmartAccess solution integrates the Biometric results to allow passenger access via the Mach-SmartAccess Automated gates as well as reconciling the information at the Mach-SmartAccess reconciliation stations for authorised boarding.
The new Mach-SmartLane® is an Integrated X-Ray baggage tray handling system that ensures optimum performance is achieved through the out bound security screening process.
The new Mach-SmartLane® is only part of the ongoing story of innovation and development which has been undertaken by MacDonald Humfrey (Automation) Ltd in the field of Airport Passenger Security.

This service can include PAX throughput simulation to determine equipment layout, architectural and layout design through to the complete installation and commissioning of the facility.
