London Luton Airport has embarked on a major programme to upgrade their passenger outbound Security facilities to offer their passengers the ultimate in security, efficiency and the customer experience.

One of the first stages in this development was to undertake trials of the new Mach-SmartLane solution which delivers automation and control to the passenger X-Ray screening lines.

The efficiencies and customer satisfaction discovered during the extensive trials of two of the Mach-SmartLane systems gave London Luton Airport the confidence to select the MacDonald Humfrey (Automation) Ltd solution for outbound security systems.

The full solution for London Luton Airport incorporated the Mach-SmartLanes, the Mach-SmartView system and the Mach-SEMS (Security Efficiency Management System).    

The new Mach-SmartLane® is an Integrated X-Ray baggage tray handling system that ensures optimum performance is achieved through the out bound security screening process.

The new Mach-SmartLane® is only part of the ongoing story of innovation and development which has been undertaken by MacDonald Humfrey (Automation) Ltd in the field of Airport Passenger Security.
