Manchester Airport Awards MacDonald Humfrey (Automation) Ltd a £1m+ Upgrade and Refurbishment Contract.

Manchester Airport has awarded MacDonald Humfrey (Automation) Ltd. a £1m+ contract to undertake a refurbishment of the Terminal Three Baggage Handling System.

The upgrade and enhancements are scheduled to be completed before April 2008.

The enhancement works include:-

• Conveyor modifications for improved system operation
• New make up carousels
• New MIS System (Management Information System)
• Existing Scada System Upgrade

This contract award follows on from the recently awarded ACC Control Room contract from Manchester Airport which involves the consolidation of Terminal 2 and Terminal 3 control rooms to a new central control room facility.
